Single-origin · Roasted in Miami
Data-driven extraction meets artisanal Balinese sourcing. We roast single-origin coffee from the mountains of Bali, Sulawesi, and Sumatra - to order, in Wynwood - for cafés, retailers, and people who take their morning seriously.
The roster
Every lot is bought direct from independent highland farmers and profiled on our Loring roaster in Miami. Shop by origin - each one tells you exactly what is in the cup.
Washed$22 / 250gKintamani Highlands · Bali
Our flagship. Grown in volcanic soil above Lake Batur, fully washed and dried on raised beds for a clean, syrupy cup with cherry lift.

Wet-hulled$21 / 250gToraja Highlands · Sulawesi
Wet-hulled the traditional Sulawesi way (giling basah) for the low, resonant body Indonesian coffee is known for - built for milk.

Anaerobic$24 / 250gMandailing · Sumatra
An experimental patch on a classic Sumatran - fermented anaerobically for 72 hours before hulling. Loud, fruit-forward, deliberately a little wild.

Founded in 2021 by a team of former industrial designers, we built Bali Espresso on a simple premise: strip the pretense out of specialty coffee and focus entirely on execution. Bean-probe sensors, closed-loop roasting, and a cupping bench that vetoes anything off-target - so the only surprise in the bag is how good it is.

From green bean to sealed bag
Nothing ships that has not passed cupping diagnostics on the tasting-room bench.
We buy green coffee direct from independent smallholders and washing stations across Bali, Sulawesi, and Sumatra - bypassing commodity distribution and paying well above the Fair Trade minimum so our partners can focus on quality, not volume.
Each origin is mapped on our Loring roaster, with bean-probe sensors tracking the temperature curve to the second. We chase the exact development window that pulls out sweetness and clarity without ever tipping into carbonized bitterness.
Every batch is scored on the tasting-room bench before it leaves the building. If an extraction drifts more than two points off its target profile, the batch is pulled. No filler, no exceptions - the roast date goes on the seal so you can hold us to it.
Optimize extraction
Three ways to make it, each tuned to a different origin and output. Start here, then dial it to your taste.
Maximum clarity. The method that shows off delicate floral and fruit notes in a lighter single origin.
Intense and syrupy. Dial in for dense, concentrated shots with a forgiving window for a busy bar.
Consistent and full-bodied. The low-maintenance method for travel, the office, or a high-volume morning.
Verified by professionals
★★★★★The consistency is unmatched. In a fast bar where margins matter, Bali Espresso is the only roaster that meets our standard for quality and reliability week after week. We moved our whole program over.
★★★★★Finally a roaster that treats coffee with the rigor it deserves. The rotating single origins keep pushing what I thought a cup could do, and the roast profiles are impeccably clean. Never a dud drop.
★★★★★Their espresso profile pulls beautifully under pressure, and same-week Miami delivery means we never run dry mid-service. It is the easiest wholesale relationship we have.

A roast curve is a spec sheet you can taste. Here is how we read charge temperature, first crack, and development time to pull sweetness out of a bean without ever scorching it.
